Needle Felting is the process of using a barbed needle to combine fibers into a solid fabric, either a 2D painting or 3D object. Many years ago I was at a craft show and saw someone needle felting and I was intrigued. I came home and did an online search but only found a few videos and didn’t really find much as far as what to buy that wouldn’t cost a lot in case I didn’t enjoy it.
A couple years ago, right before the pandemic hit, I saw someone post a needle felted object they had made in one of my Facebook groups and asked where they got the materials. She sent a link to a kit on Amazon so I decided to purchase it and try this hobby out.
The rest is history. I fell in love with it right away! I have learned a lot thanks to the many videos that are now available, and I’m always learning something new. I was asked if I would teach a class at our local library and while I felt very inadequate, I took the plunge and did a simple gnome class. It was fun! Then I was asked to do a second class for those who couldn’t make the first one. The ladies in the classes said I should do some videos or online classes so here we are!

You can also subscribe to my YouTube channel to follow along on some projects. My first video is up and is an unboxing and using that basic kit I first ordered.
